What information can I request via a subject access request?

A subject access request will provide you with a copy of the information that we hold about you as an individual, for example the details you have provided us with to set up your policy and your subsequent interactions with us. We will not provide information about other individuals as this is their personal data and not yours.

What information do I need to provide in my request?

We may also need to verify your identity or the identity of someone acting on your behalf, if you contact us from an email or number which has not already been verified on your policy. In these instances, we may ask you and/or them to provide a formal ID and/or proof of address.

To assist us in responding to your request, if you require specific copies of information about you such as a document or interaction on a particular date please include this in your request.

Will I get all the information I request?

We will not provide information about other individuals as this is their personal data and not yours. We may also not be able to provide all the information you request if an exemption or restriction applies in the law. Examples of this could be if you ask for the same information lots of times or if we have had to share data with the police and they ask us to not let you know as it could harm an investigation.
